How long is the program?

Summer internships will take place between May and September when students are out of school.  An employer partner may also employ an intern part-time during the school year.

How many students can an employer hire?

Employer partners may hire as many interns as they need.

Is there any training required from the employer to provide to the student?

The Career Connection Institute will provide as much offsite training for the student as possible to prepare for the summer position. The only training provided by the employer partner will be specific on the job training to perform daily tasks and responsibilities.

What type of work or projects are students expected to perform?

Students will be placed with companies based on their aptitudes and career goals. We will carefully match each student based on these factors.  Each employer partner is asked to place students in positions that will help them gain experience to enhance their employability skills.

Student Tours Tours

If feasible, we encourage each employer partner to provide planned and guided tours of a local facility or corporate location.

All students are asked to complete an aptitude assessment and complete a profile sheet.  This allows our Connection Counselors to properly assess your skills and match you to the best possible employer.
